Lot Description

A late Victorian spoon with circular bowl leading to a twisted stem and a lyre shaped terminal, hallmarked John Aldwinckle & Thomas Slater, London 1894, length 6 7/8 inches (17.5 cm). Together with a late Victorian silver condiment spoon of Fiddle pattern with initialled terminal, hallmarked Hilliard & Thomason, Birmingham 1899, a cased silver pusher and spoon, hallmarked Sheffield 1957/59, a modern pair of dwarf candlesticks, each of plain knopped form upon a stepped circular foot, hallmarked Birmingham 2002, two plated souvenir spoons and a small horn bowl. Gross weighable silver 3.2 ozt (102.4 grams).

In fair to good condition, the lot displays general surface scratches, marks, wear and tarnishing commensurate with the age and use. The London spoon is heavily tarnished, the twisted stem is slightly bent appearing, the bowl has a dent near the hallmarks. The condiment spoon is initialled with 'H J'. The pusher and spoon are bent to the stems, the fitted case is missing the hinge clasp to the front. Dwarf candlesticks are marked 'FILLED' to the interior of the sconces. Hallmarks clear and legible.
