Lot Description

Two mid-twentieth century Royal Air Force Champion at Arms fencing trophies, each modelled as a man in fencing attire holding his helmet and sabre sword and standing on a stained wood base with an applied and engraved silver presentation plaque, one dated 1960 and the other 1961. Hallmarked Garrard & Co Ltd., London 1959. Height measures 5 3/8 inches (13.7 cm).

Total lot weight: No

Both appear in a tarnished state and would benefit from a clean and polish. Some general surface marks and scratches and the sword blades are a little bent. Some general wear to the bases, especially the lining on the underside of one. Hallmarked to circualr base of figure and also to the applied plaque, there is some slight distortion but still clearly legible.
