Lot Description
A George III miniature silver chamberstick, the oval base with reeded border central taperstick and complete with the original detachable snuffer. Hallmarked Sheffield 1789, the maker possibly Tudor & Leader (Henry Tudor & Thomas Leader). Maximum height measuring 5 cm, weight 43 grams.

Condition Report
The chamberstick displays general surface wear and tarnishing commensurate with the age and use. General surface marks and scratches and numerous minor dints, bumps and knocks to edges. Some solder repairs including to the rim of the removable nozzle, to the rim of the oval base and around join of the hook on the snuffer. Hallmarks and makers marks on the base and nozzle are quite distorted and rubbed and the marks on the snuffer are very heavily worn and partly illegible.
