A Victorian silver vinaigrette, the small oblong form with engine-turned decoration, scalloped edge, vacant cartouche and opening to a silver-gilt interior with foliate pierced grille. Hallmarked George Unite & Sons, Birmingham 1877. Length measuring 2.5 cm, weight 12.3 grams.

The lot displays general scratches, marks, wear and tarnishing  commensurate with the age and use. Hinge in good working order. Lid rises slightly in the closed position. Gilding a little worn. Hallmarks clear and legible.
