Lot Description

An Edwardian silver vesta case, of plain typical form with enamelled personal inscription on either side and a green enamelled clover to the front of the hinged cover, hallmarked William Hair Haseler, Birmingham 1904. Length measures 5.5 cm, weight 51.8 grams.

In fair to good condition, the lot displays general surface scratches, marks, wear and tarnishing commensurate with the age and use. The enamelled inscriptions and clover has surface scratches and minor dints. Minor dents to the top corners of the cover which shuts fully flush but the hinge is slightly loose allowing sideways movement, suspension loop present. The striker is clean with some minor loss of definition. Hallmarks clear and legible.
