A late Victorian silver and enamel vesta case by Sampson Mordan, the oblong form with monogram and date engraving to the back and enamelled horse racing scene to the front. Hallmarked Sampson Mordan & Co, London 1890. Height measuring 5.8 cm, weight 42 grams.

In good overall condition. Displaying general scratches, marks and tarnishing commensurate with the age and use. Small knocks to the corners, General scratches to the enamel. Sprung hinged cover in good condition. Hallmarks somewhat worn but legible.
