Lot Description
An Edwardian silver mounted biscuit barrel, the bulbous plain glass body with star-cut base and having a silver collar with swing handle and a removable lid with ball finial. Hallmarked Joseph Rodgers & Sons, Sheffield 1906. Height including finial measuring 6 inches (15.2 cm).

Condition Report
Appears in good overall condition, displaying some general wear, surface marks and scratches, and some tarnishing to the silver mounts. A few surface nicks and nibbles to the glass and some heavier scratches and contact marks to the underside. Hinges of swing handle appear in working order. Lid is a good fit. Some heavy rubbing to main hallmarks, especially to the date letter and lion passant, part hallmarks to lid are clear and legible.
