An 18ct gold ruby and diamond ring. The oval-shape ruby and brilliant-cut diamond sides, with similarly-cut diamond marquise-shape surround and openwork shoulders. With verbal from GCS for Thai origin, no indications of heat treatment. Estimated total diamond weight 0.50ct. Hallmarks for Birmingham, 1987. Ring size L. Weight 5.7gms

<li>Overall condition good to fair. Minor surface scratches/wear in keeping with general age and wear.<p>
<li>Diamonds fairly bright and well matched.<p>
<li>Individual size and setting of diamonds prevents accurate colour and clarity assessment.<p>
<li>Minor to moderate small, scattered dark inclusions.
<li>Ruby medium purplish red hue, fair to good saturation, some eye visible inclusions. Noticeable window effect.<p>
<li>Ruby showing significant abrasion and nibbles.<p>
<li>Estimated dimensions of ruby 9 by 6.9 by 2.3mms.
<li>Length of ring head 2.2cms.
