A late Victorian gold garnet and split pearl brooch, circa 1880. Designed as a split pearl star, inset to the grooved circular garnet cabochon, within a bead accent star motif domed panel, suspending tassel and swags. Length 6.5cms. Weight 14.3gms.

<li>Overall condition fair. Surface scratches/ wear, discolouration and dents in keeping with general age and wear.
<li>Dents and scratches visible to the reverse surround, some possible areas repair.

<li>Some abrasion visible to the edging of the back glass panel.
