<li>Surmount and some of the bar fittings to the reverse are later, the bar fittings have mostly become unattached.

<li>The piece has been recently white-metal plated.

<li>One side of the mount has clasp fittings, possible alteration.

<li>Diamonds bright and well matched.

<li>Individual size and setting of diamonds prevents accurate colour and clarity assessment.<p>

<li>Few diamonds with small chips, few with surface reaching inclusions.

<li>Generally estimated H-J colour, SI clarity, some P1 clarity.

<li>Ruby is a deep medium slightly purplish red hue, slight window effect. Angular silk inclusions visible.

<li>Stones in good condition with minor abrasions.<p>

<li>Pendant mount has later 9ct gold hallmarks for Birmingham.
