A 1970s 18ct gold ruby and diamond dress ring. The brilliant-cut diamond cluster, with oval-shape ruby undulating surround. Estimated total diamond weight 2cts, I-J colour, P1-P2 clarity. Hallmarks for London, 1975. Ring size L. Weight 12.1gms.

<li>Overall condition fair to good. Some surface scratches/ wear, discolouration and minor dents in keeping with general age and wear.
<li>Diamonds fairly bright.<p>
<li> Diamonds with dark crystal inclusions visible with the unaided eye. <p>
<li>Individual size and setting of diamonds prevents accurate colour and clarity assessment.<p>
<li>Rubies medium dark purplish red, moderate to poor saturation, with profuse inclusions that affect the passage of light through the stone.<p>
<li>Stones in fair condition with some abrasion and minor nibbles to the girdle and facet edges.<p>
<li>Stamped K18.
