Lot Description
A Victorian novelty natural pearl and gem-set fly. The natural cream and gold pearl body, with circular-shape ruby eyes and old-cut diamond wings, suspended from a later bar. With report 5776-4035 from GCS, dated 16th December 2015, stating natural saltwater. Brooch with hallmarks for Birmingham, 1916. Length of bar 3.5cms. Total weight 3.6gms.

<li>Overall condition good. Minor surface scratches/wear in keeping with general age and wear.
<li>Some areas of discolouration to replacement jump ring.
<li>Chain and brooch later to the fly.
<li>The lot appears to have been put together from early 20th century components, some replacement gemstones.
<li>Diamonds fairly well matched.
<li>Diamonds fairly bright.<p>
<li>Individual size and setting of diamonds prevents accurate colour and clarity assessment.<p>
