Lot Description
A mid 19th century gold, enamel and gem-set snake necklace. The turquoise enamel snake head, with split pearl crest and garnet eyes, suspending a split pearl and blue enamel heart, to the fancy-link chain. Length 43cms. Weight 16.5gms.

<li> Overall condition fair to good. Some surface scratches/ wear, discolouration and minor dents in keeping with general age and wear.
<li>Soft solder visible to the clasp.
<li>Enamel to snake head has been repaired and has discoloured, with minor chips.
<li>Heart would have had locket reverse, now deficient.
<li> Split pearls with pearly lustre, minor damage to nacre.<p>
<li> Stones in good condition with minor abrasions.<p>
<li>Length of snake head 3.6cms.
