Three rare Royal Doulton 'Cliff Cornell' character jugs. Comprising large and medium, each with blue suit, together with a further example in brown suit, two marked beneath 'Greetings Cliff Cornell Cleveland Fluxes', (3).

Commissioned in 1956 to portray the American industrialist, his unpopularity as a boss led many of his employees to destroy their gifts. Cornell was an admirer of Sir Winston Churchill and had asked Royal Doulton to make his portrait appear as close as possible.
