Lot Description

A late Victorian gold, ruby and diamond ring. Comprising pear-shape ruby and old-cut diamond cluster, slightly overlapping twin hearts, with old-cut diamond accent shoulders. Principal diamond estimated weight 0.50ct, H-I colour, VS2-SI1 clarity. Ring size Q. Weight 4.7gms.

<li>Overall condition good. Some surface scratches and minor dents in keeping with general age and wear.


<li>Resize, slight unevenness to the band.

<li>Diamonds bright and well matched.

<li>Principal diamond with a small nick to the edge of the table facet and girdle. Diamond graded within the limitations of the mount.

<li>Individual size and setting of non-principal diamonds prevents accurate colour and clarity assessment.<p>

<li>Some surface reaching abrasions.

<li>Ruby is a deep medium, slightly purplish red hue. Some eye visible inclusions. Moderate abrasion.
