Lot Description

A late Victorian 18ct gold sapphire and diamond ring. Comprising three graduated oval and cushion-shape pink sapphires, with old-cut diamond double spacers. Estimated total diamond weight 0.30ct. Hallmarks partially indistinct. Ring size P1/2. Weight 3.7gms.

<li>Overall condition fair. Surface scratches/ wear, discolouration and dents in keeping with general age and wear.

<li>Some possible replacement stones.

<li>Band with evidence of resize, part of hallmarks has been cut away.

<li>Diamonds fairly bright.<p>

<li>Individual size and setting of diamonds prevents accurate colour and clarity assessment.<p>

<li>Sapphires medium pink, well saturated, with fair clarity and typical inclusions.<p>

<li>Stones in fair condition with some abrasion and minor nibbles to the girdle and facet edges.<p>

<li>Partial hallmark possibly for Birmingham, 1885.
