Lot Description
A late Victorian gold, demantoid garnet, pearl and diamond brooch. The demantoid garnet crescent, with seed pearl, old-cut diamond and split pearl scrolling foliate spray surmount. Estimated total diamond weight 0.15ct. Length 5.3cms. Weight 6.3gms.

<li>Overall condition fair to good. Some surface scratches/ wear, discolouration and minor dents in keeping with general age and wear.
<li>Replacement gems. Glue visible to some mounts.
<li>Diamonds well matched.
<li>Individual size and setting of diamonds prevents accurate colour and clarity assessment.<p>
<li>Surface reaching inclusions.
<li>demantoid garnets are a fairly well matched, fairly vibrant, yellowish green hue.
<li>One obvious replacement green paste gem.
<li>Seed pearl untested for natural origin. Seed and split pearls well matched.
