Lot Description
An early 20th century gold gem-set locket. Of oval outline, the heart-shape ruby cabochon and single-cut diamond crossed arrows motif with pierced scrolling foliate border, to the similarly pierced reverse engraved 'Mon Coeur Perce', suspended from a scrolling foliate engraved surmount. French assay marks. Length 4cms. Weight 12.2gms.

<li>Overall condition good. Some surface scratches and minor discolouration in keeping with general age and wear.
<li>Locket with bevelled glass compartment to one side of the interior.
<li>Diamonds appear bright and well matched.
<li>Estimated total diamond weight under 0.10ct.<p>
<li>Individual size and setting of diamonds prevents accurate colour and clarity assessment.<p>
<li>Ruby is in a closed back setting, presumed foil back. Ruby appears a deep medium slightly purplish red hue.
