Lot Description
A mid Victorian diamond necklace. Designed as an old-cut diamond floral, articulated spray, with similarly-cut diamond and knife-edge link back-chain and clasp. Estimated total diamond weight 17 to 18cts, principal diamonds estimated H-I colour, SI1-P1 clarity. Length 38cms. Weight 41gms. With fitted Collingwood case.

<li>Overall condition good. Some surface scratches, general slight discolouration and minor dents in keeping with general age and wear.
<li>Diamonds bright and well matched.
<li>Principal diamonds with varied inclusions, most with relatively few, scattered inclusions. Some diamonds chipped, mostly small chips to girdle and facet edges.
<li>Individual size and setting of non-principal diamonds prevents accurate colour and clarity assessment.<p>
<li>Length of drop (at longest) 4.5cms.
<li>Back-chain detaches via a hook to both sides.
<li>Length of central section (excluding detachable back-chain) 16cms.
<li>Case shows minor wear.
