Lot Description
An early 19th century gold, topaz and gem-set cross pendant and necklace. The cannetille cross, with foil back topaz, emerald and split pearl highlights, together with a multi-strand chain with foil back topaz and emerald cannetille spacers and clasp. One chain strand AF. Length of pendant 5.8cms. Length of necklace 38cms. Weight 28.2gms. With fitted case.

<li>Overall condition fair. Some surface scratches/ wear, discolouration and minor dents in keeping with general age and wear.
<li>Necklace with section of one chain deficient. Chain with repairs and alterations. Some links stretched.
<li>Possible replacment gems.
<li>Pendant with replacement surmount, believed previously an earring.
<li>Not every foil back pink gem is tested.
<li>Foil back gems appear a light medium pink hue. Deterioration to the foil backing.
<li>Emeralds are a moderately vibrant, deep, slightly bluish green hue. Gems in closed back settings, presumed foil back.
<li>Two emeralds chipped.
