George Bernard O'Neill, (1828-1917), Two children, one in blue suit ringing a bell and holding a spade, another kneeling holding forget-me-nots and mourning her pet bird, her hand placed upon its cage, a daisy chain at her feet, the pair observed by an elderly gentleman, oil on canvas, 18" x 23.5", (46cm x 60cm), in swept gilt frame, handwritten label verso "Bought Bond St Galleries £425 Aug 1956 / Exhibited Leeds Loan Exhibition 1888"
