A 19th century oval painted portrait miniature upon ivory in the manner of Charles Hayter (1761-1835), depicting a gentleman in brown overcoat and white neckerchief against a blue background, 2.5" x 3" (6.5cm x 7.5cm), in glazed brass frame with gold plated front having suspension loop surmount.

Miniature is not in frame and has areas of slight discolouration and fading to lapel, shoulder and lower aspect.
Frame with wear including scratches, dents, scuffing and marks, the front appears to have been taped across at one point and this has left discolouration.
