Lot Description

A mid 19th century French ormolu and Sevres style porcelain mantel clock, Miroy Freres Paris, the 3.5 inch white enamel Roman dial with Breguet hour hand inscribed PARIS, the two train movement outside countwheel striking on a bell, stamped MIROY FRES. BTES. PARIS and numbered 774/12C, the break arched case with two reclining putti flanking an urn of flowers on naturalistic ground, over two porcelain panels of putti representing Art and Music, the low base with toupie feet, 20.5" x 13.5" (52cm x 34.5cm), raised upon plush lined giltwood plinth of conforming outline, 21.5" (54.5cm) wide.
