A late Georgian gold shell cameo ring. Carved to depict Pope Pius VII in profile, under glazed mount, with scrolling foliate engraved shoulders and band. Ring size P. Weight 7.1gms.

<li>Overall condition good. Some surface scratches/ wear, discolouration and minor dents in keeping with general age and wear.
<li>Milled edge to surround is slightly loose at the join. Small dents to the surround.
<li>Fabric background to the shell.
<li>Shell carved PIVSVII.
<li>Glass with moderate abrasion.
<li>Slight werar to the back of the band.
<li>Two grooved dimples to the back of the ring head.
<li>Length of ring head 1.9cms.
