<li>Star sapphire is a translucent dark slightly purplish-blue colour, with patches of darker and lighter areas and colour zoning.<p>

<li>Star sapphire displays a fine, six-ray asterism, well centred under strong light.

<li>Star sapphire in good condition with minor abrasions and some small surface reaching inclusions.<p>
