Lot Description
A late Victorian silver and gold diamond floral brooch. Designed as two old and rose-cut diamond dog roses, en tremblant to the similarly-cut diamond spray. Estimated total old-cut diamond weight 0.80ct, H-I colour, SI clarity. French assay marks. Length 9.1cms. Weight 45.8gms. With fitted case.

<li>Overall condition good. Surface scratches/wear in keeping with general age and wear.
<li>With later wire attachments to the reverse, along with evidence of soft solder.
<li>Diamonds well matched.
<li>Diamonds bright.<p>
<li>Individual size and setting of rose-cut diamonds prevents accurate weight, colour and clarity assessment.<p>
<li>One old-cut diamond with small dark inclusions under 10x magnification. Both appear to have naturals to the girdle extending slightly into the crown facets.
<li>Diameter of each flower approximately 3.2cms.
<li>Case is later, re-fitted.
