<li>Overall condition fair to good. Some surface scratches/ wear, discolouration and minor dents in keeping with general age and wear.

<li>Possible alterations may have occurred to the piece.

<li>Some slight damage and dents to rock crystal surround.

<li>Intaglio rotates slightly within the mount.

<li>Painting in good condition with some small patches of flaking.

<li>'of' has been later scratch engraved into the inscription to read 'Duchess of Athole'.
