A late Victorian gold pietra dura brooch. Of oval outline, the hardstone mosaic butterfly, with engraved antennae, to the slate reverse and grooved surround. Length 3.9cms. Weight 8.9gms.

<li>Overall condition fair to good. Some surface scratches and minor dents in keeping with general age and wear.
<li>Hardstone to include lapis lazuli and jasper.
<li>Hardstone panels in good to fair condition with abrasions and scratches. White stone border with small section deficient to one side.<p>
<li>Slate with scratches to front and reverse.
<li>Width 3cms.
