An early Victorian 9ct gold aquamarine brooch. Of openwork design, the circular and oval-shape aquamarine cluster, with foliate engraved interwoven surround. Estimated dimensions of principal aquamarine 9.4 by 8.4 by 3.5mms. Length 5.4cms. Weight 14.7gms.

<li>Overall condition fair to good. Some surface scratches/ wear, discolouration and minor dents in keeping with general age and wear.
<li>Replacement fittings.
<li>Reverse of surround with signs of abrasion, small nick to the metal and file mark visible.
<li>Soft solder visible due to repair/alterations.
<li>Aquamarine are well matched, pale blue, with greenish hues, fairly well saturated, with good clarity and typical inclusions.<p>
<li>Aquamarine are in good condition with minor abrasions, few small nicks to the surfaces.<p>

<li>Electronically tests as 9ct gold.
