Lot Description
A mid Victorian 18ct gold split pearl and enamel bracelet. Designed as two blue enamel tapered panels, each with graduated split pearl scrolling central line and sides, either side of a foliate engraved circle, to the fancy-link sides and engraved clasp. Length 16.5cms. Weight 19gms.

Condition Report
<li>Overall condition fair to good. Some surface scratches and small dents in keeping with general age and wear.
<li>Bracelet with signs of alteration/repair, soft solder visible at joins of bracelet chain to enamel sections.
<li>Possibly replacement gems, one split pearl set with drill hole visible.
<li>Split pearls are well matched creamy white colour, with rose and greenish overtones, in good condition with minor abrasions.<p>
<li>Enamel uneven, possibly replacement.
<li>Electronically tests as 18ct gold.
<li>Fellows uses a Thermo Scientific Nitron Handheld XRF Analyser to test metals. This technology is limited to examining metal to a depth of approximately 8 microns.
