Lot Description

A set of mid Victorian 18ct gold enamel and split pearl jewellery. The brooch designed as a split pearl and rose-cut diamond star to the blue enamel and foliate engraved dome, with split pearl surround, suspending a similarly-designed tassel, with a pair of similarly designed earrings. Length of brooch (including tassel) 6.7cms. Length of earrings 1.8cms. Weight 36.3gms.

<li>Overall condition good. Minor surface scratches/wear in keeping with general age and wear.

<li>Glazed panel reverse in good condition, pin with few small file marks.

<li>Diamonds fairly well matched.

<li>Diamonds fairly bright.<p>

<li>Estimated total diamond weight under 0.10ct.<p>

<li>Individual size and setting of rose-cut diamonds prevents accurate colour and clarity assessment.<p>

<li>Split pearls are well matched, creamish white colour, with pink and green overtones, in good condition with minor abrasions and small nicks.<p>

<li>Enamel has been repaired, some partially covering the engraving, some slight blistering and uneven colour.

<li>Earrings with fixed posts for pierced ears.<p>

<li>Earring backs stamped 9ct.
