A late Georgian gold diamond and enamel memorial ring. The glazed panel, with old-cut diamond and black enamel surround and sides, to the 'In Memory Of' band. Estimated total diamond weight 1.60cts. Ring size R. Weight 6gms.

Condition Report
<li>Overall condition fair to good. Some surface scratches/ wear, discolouration and minor dents in keeping with general age and wear.
<li>Diamond trefoil shoulders possible repair/alterations, slight soft solder visible to the reverse.
<li>With personal engraving 'Eliza Taylor 17th Dec 1820 at 67'.
<li>Diamonds well matched.
<li>Diamonds bright and lively.<p>
<li>Individual size and setting of diamonds prevents accurate colour and clarity assessment.<p>
<li>Diamonds with small inclusions, some dark inclusions, few have nicks to the surface.
<li>Black enamel is in fair condition with some abrasion, small chips and minor nibbles to the edges.<p>
<li>Length of ring head 1.3cms.
<li>Electronically tests as 15ct gold.
<li>Fellows uses a Thermo Scientific Nitron Handheld XRF Analyser to test metals. This technology is limited to examining metal to a depth of approximately 8 microns.
