A late Victorian Burmese ruby and diamond ring. The oval-shape ruby, with old-cut diamond sides and openwork scrolling shoulders, to the double band. Verbal from GCS, stating Burma, no heat. Estimated total diamond weight 1.25cts. Ring size S. Weight 7gms.

<li>Overall condition good. Surface scratches/wear and discolouration in keeping with general age and wear.
<li>Possible replacement band.
<li>Connecting panel to base of band appears slightly worn/ damaged.
<li>Principal diamonds estimated total weight 0.50ct, VS2-SI1 clarity.
<li>Some rose-cut diamond accents to shoulders.
<li>Diamonds well matched.

<li>Individual size and setting of non-principal diamonds prevents accurate colour and clarity assessment.<p>
<li>Non-principal diamonds with few small inclusions under 10x magnification. Some with naturals.
<li>Ruby is a deep purplish red hue, fairly well saturated, with good to fair clarity and typical inclusions.<p>
