Lot Description
An early 20th century gold demantoid garnet pendant. The vari-cut demantoid garnet pear-shape cluster, suspended from a similarly-set floral spray, with textured foliate whiplash surround and surmount. Russian marks including 56 zolotnik mark. Length 5.5cms. Weight 6.6gms.

Condition Report
<li>Overall condition fair to good. Some surface scratches and minor dents in keeping with general age and wear.
<li>Gold is of slightly bi-colour hue, the foliate surround being slightly greenish, the remaining being a rose hue.
<li>Demantoid garnets are mostly a yellowy-green and slightly deeper yellowish green, with varied saturation and tone.
<li>Minor to moderate abrasion. Three with small, noticeable chips.
<li>Marked to the side of the principal panel including workmaster mark, possibly overstruck, possibly reading AP or AD. Further mark obscured.
