MURRLE BENNETT & CO. - an early 20th century silver opal necklace. Comprising an opal, knot and tapered panel fringe, suspended from a trace-link and opal spacer chain, to the twisted trombone-link back-chain and toggle clasp. Maker's mark for Murrle Bennett & Co. Length 45cms. Weight 8.6gms.

<li>Overall condition good. Some surface scratches, general tarnish and minor dents in keeping with general age and wear.
<li>Opals are well matched with fair play of colour, predominantly green hues.
<li>Stamped with maker's mark and 950 to reverse of one of the fringe drops.
