Lot Description
A mid Victorian gold diamond, turquoise and split pearl ring. The old-cut diamond line, with circular turquoise cabochon and split pearl surround, to the scrolling shoulders and replacement half-band. Estimated total diamond weight 0.20ct. Approximate ring size P1/2. Weight 2.5gms.

<li>Overall condition fair to good. Some surface scratches/ wear, discolouration and minor dents in keeping with general age and wear.
<li>Replacement band with hallmarks for 9ct gold, Birmingham, 1987.
<li>Discolouration and solder visible to shoulders.
<li>Glue residue visible to setting around split pearls and turquoise.
<li>Engraving to reverse of ring head reading 'E.F. March 4th 1850'.
<li>Diamonds well matched.
<li>Diamonds bright.<p>
<li>Individual size and setting of diamonds prevents accurate colour and clarity assessment.<p>
<li>Central diamond with large feather inclusions visible to the table under 10x magnification.
<li>Split pearls are a slightly discoloured yellowish grey colour, with rose and greenish overtones.
<li>Turquoise in good to poor condition. Some chipped.<p>
<li>Split pearls in good to fair condition with some nacre damage.
<li>Width 1.1cms.
