Lot Description

A late Victorian 15ct gold turquoise and diamond brooch. The circular turquoise cabochon and old-cut diamond cluster, to the knife-edge bar with similarly-cut diamond trefoil terminals. Estimated total diamond weight 0.70ct. Length 4.3cms. Weight 5.6gms.

<li>Overall condition good. Some surface scratches/wear and dents in keeping with general age and wear.

<li>Some end claws worn, may require attention.

<li>Diamonds well matched.

<li>Diamonds bright.<p>

<li>Individual size and setting of diamonds prevents accurate colour and clarity assessment.<p>

<li>Diamonds have mostly small, few, scattered inclusions.

<li>Turquoise are a slightly greenish blue hue. Very minor matrix visible.

<li>Turquoise in good condition.<p>

<li>Estimated dimensions of turquoise (diameter) 7 by (depth) 4.9mms.
