Lot Description
A late Victorian 9ct gold, opal and diamond hinged bangle. Comprising two circular opal cabochon and vari-size old-cut diamond scalloped clusters, with old-cut diamond spacer, to the knife-edge, asymmetric sides. Estimated total diamond weight 1.40cts. Inner diameter 5.8cms. Weight 16gms.

<li>Overall condition good. Some surface scratches/ wear, discolouration and minor dents in keeping with general age and wear.
<li>Possible repair at clasp.
<li>Diamonds well matched.
<li>Individual size and setting of diamonds prevents accurate colour and clarity assessment.<p>
<li>Generally few, small, scattered inclusions. Principal diamond with chip at the girdle.
<li>Opals are well matched, with good play of colour, predominently orange, green and blue hues, one with linear 'dead' zone. Estimated diameter of opals 8.9 and 9.1mms. Moderate abrasion.
