A late Victorian gold diamond and ruby monogram brooch. Designed as an entwined rose-cut diamond 'N' and vari-shape ruby 'C'. Length 2.8cms. Weight 7.3gms.

<li>Overall condition good to fair. Some surface scratches/wear and discolouration in keeping with general age and wear.
<li>Some moderate discolouration to reverse.
<li>Some replacement gems.
<li>Glue visible to one ruby.
<li>Replacement pin. Clasp slightly dented, requires minor attention.
<li>Closed settings, presumed foil backs.
<li>Diamonds well matched and bright.<p>
<li>Cut and setting of rose-cut diamonds prevents total carat weight, colour or clarity estimation.
<li>Diamonds appear clean with few minor inclusions noticeable under 10x magnification.
<li>One diamond shows abrasions.
<li>Rubies vary, most appear purplish red hue, variation in tone, saturation.
<li>Rubies in good condition with minor nicks.<p>
