An early 20th century gold sapphire and diamond necklace. The graduated, alternating cushion-shape sapphire and old-cut diamond crescent, on later 9ct gold belcher-link back-chain. Estimated total diamond weight 0.60ct. Chain with hallmarks for London, 1984. Length 44.5cms. Total weight 8.6gms.

<li>Overall condition good. Minor surface scratches/wear in keeping with general age and wear.
<li>Lot includes a deficient safety chain, weighing 1.1gms, set with a circular-shape sapphire.
<li>Diamonds fairly well matched, slightly varied in clarity.
<li>Diamonds bright.<p>
<li>Individual size and setting of diamonds prevents accurate colour and clarity assessment.<p>
<li>Diamonds with small to moderate light and dark inclusions under 10x magnification.
<li>Sapphires are a well matched medium blue, well saturated, with good clarity and typical inclusions.<p>
<li>Sapphires in good condition with minor abrasions.<p>
