Lot Description
A set of late Victorian 15ct and 9ct gold moss or seaweed agate jewellery. The bracelet comprising a series of rectangular agate panels with 15ct gold mounts, together with a 15ct and 9ct gold converted cut corner rectangular agate ring, together with an engraved cross motif and rectangular agate pendant. Together with six additional cut-corner rectangular agate loose panels. Length of bracelet 18.5cms. With fitted case.

Condition Report
<li>Overall condition fair to good. Some surface scratches/ wear, discolouration and minor dents in keeping with general age and wear.
<li>Ring was previously a brooch and now does not sit securely in the fitted case.
<li>The ring band electronically tests as approximately 9ct gold.
<li>The agate mount to the ring and the bracelet fittings electronically test as approximately 15ct gold.
<li>Fellows uses a Thermo Scientific Nitron Handheld XRF Analyser to test metals. This technology is limited to examining metal to a depth of approximately 8 microns.
<li>Fellows does not guarantee the standard of gold or platinum unless an item is hallmarked. Results from electronically tested items should only be used as a guide and with caution, as false readings are possible.
<li>Ring band off round, stamped 9ct.
<li>Length of ring head 1.9cms. Approximate ring size M1/2 - N.
<li>Some mounts to the bracelet show signs of alteration, some slight discolouration.
<li>Pendant with replacement surmount and central spacer section. Lower pendant section with brooch fittings, base metal pin.
<li>Agates are a very slightly whitish transluscent hue with green veining. Few panels with slight yellowy orange and reddish orange areas.
<li>Some agates to bracelet with nicks and nibbles to some corners and one to a short edge.
<li>Agates to pendant with small nicks and two noticeable chips to the rectangular panel.
<li>Case generally good with appropriate signs of wear.
