Lot Description
A pair of mid Victorian gold moss agate earrings. Each designed as an undulating moss agate cabochon, with scroll and bead surround, to the later surmount. Length 3.8cms. Weight 3.2gms.

<li>Overall condition good. Some surface scratches/ wear, discolouration in keeping with general age and wear.
<li>Possible replacement surmount fittings.
<li>The moss agate are very shallow cabochons.
<li>Moss agate is well matched, partly transparent, with opaque orange and green patches and some white banding.<p>
<li>One moss agate with fracture extending across the width of the stone. Moss agates with minor abrasions.<p>
<li>With later screw back fittings for non-pierced ears.
<li>Stamped 9CT to screw-back fittings.

Moss agate are in good to fair condition with some abrasion and minor nibbles to the girdle and facet edges, one with crack extending across the width of the stone.
