Lot Description
An early 20th century gold diamond convertible diamond bangle. The bangle designed as a graduated old-cut diamond line with clasp sides to the openwork bangle, convertible to a brooch or hair slide. Estimated total old-cut diamond weight 2.70cts. I-J colour, VS2-P1 clarity. Inner diameter of bangle 5.5cms. Length of diamond line 4.1cms. Total weight 20.8gms.

Condition Report
<li>Overall condition fair to good. Some surface scratches/ wear, discolouration and minor dents in keeping with general age and wear.
<li>Four rose-cut diamond spacers deficient.
<li>Push clasps to both sides of the diamond section of the bangle detach in order to connect to the brooch and hair slide fastenings.
<li>Bangle is hinged to both sides.
<li>Repaired/altered to the back.
<li>Openwork bangle with moderate dents to the sides.
<li>Moderate chips to the terminals of three of the tines of the hair slide.
<li>Slide is composed of blonde tortoiseshell.
<li>Length of tortoiseshell component 7.7cms.
<li>Diamonds bright and fairly well matched.
<li>Individual size and setting of smaller diamonds prevents accurate colour and clarity assessment.<p>
<li>Diamond inclusions vary. Few with large surface reaching feathers. Most with small, light and dark, moderate scattered inclusions.
