Lot Description

A 19th century gold amethyst and diamond pendant. The old and rose-cut diamond star, inset to an oval amethyst cabochon, with similarly-cut diamond bow surmount and fringe, suspended from a fancy-link chain. Estimated total diamond weight 1.20cts. Length of pendant 5.5cms. Length of chain 36cms. Weight 19.5gms. With re-fitted case.

<li>Diamonds fairly bright.<p>

<li>Individual size and setting of diamonds prevents accurate colour and clarity assessment.<p>

<li>Diamonds with small inclusions, few minor nicks.

<li>Amethyst is foil back and appears a medium pinkish-purple hue, well saturated, with typical inclusions.<p>

<li>Amethyst is in good condition with minor abrasions, few minor nibbles near the girdle.<p>
