Lot Description
A late 19th century gold and silver turquoise and diamond pendant. Of openwork design, comprising a cultured pearl, within an old and rose-cut diamond and circular turquoise cabochon surround, to the similarly-set surmount. Surmount with French assay marks. Length 3.8cms. Total weight 8.1gms.

<li>Overall condition fair to good. Some surface scratches/ wear, discolouration and minor dents in keeping with general age and wear.
<li>Pendant shows evidence of alteration, surmount is not original to the piece, the main pendant has been adapted from a clasp / jewellery component, with soft solder visible.
<li>Diamonds fairly well matched.
<li>Diamonds fairly bright.<p>
<li>Individual size and setting of rose-cut diamonds prevents accurate carat weight, colour and clarity assessment.<p>
<li>Turquoise are fairly matched medium greenish-blue hue, some with small scratches and abrasions.<p>
<li>Some gemstones possibly later replacements, claws worn and abraded.<p>
<li>Cultured pearl is a creamish body colour, with green and pink overtones, good lustre, in good condition.
<li>Electronically testing as silver and gold.
