A cultured pearl necklace. Comprising three strands of cultured pearls, measuring approximately 8.9 to 6.5mms, to the mid 20th century platinum and gold, old-cut diamond cross motif clasp with rose-cut diamond and calibre-cut sapphire openwork surround. Estimated total old-cut diamond weight 1.50cts, H-I colour, VS2-SI1 clarity. Length 48cms. Weight 89.8gms.

<li>Overall condition good. Some surface scratches/wear and discolouration in keeping with general age and wear.
<li>Cultured pearls likely later to the clasp.
<li>Diamonds well matched.
<li>Diamonds bright.<p>
<li>Principal diamonds with few minor inclusions under 10x magnification. One of the kite facets to the central diamond appears slightly rough, possible shallow cleave parallel to the facet.
<li>Individual size and setting of rose-cut diamonds prevents accurate weight estimation and colour and clarity assessment.<p>
<li>Rose-cut diamonds generally with some small inclusions and some small surface cavities under 10x magnification.
<li>Without the aid of laboratory equipment, it has not been possible to determine if these cultured pearls are from a fresh or saltwater source.
<li>Cultured pearls are a creamy white colour, with rose and greenish overtones.
<li>Cultured pearls generally in good condition, with some minor nacre damage and abrasions and typical surface blemishes and features.
<li>Sapphires are a well matched medium blue hue, well saturated, with good clarity and typical inclusions.<p>
<li>Sapphires in good condition with minor abrasions.<p>
<li>Length of clasp 1.9cms.
