Lot Description

A late Victorian silver and gold, diamond and cultured pearl brooch. The cultured pearl trefoil and old-cut diamond flower, with old-cut diamond scrolling foliate surround. Estimated total diamond weight 1.25cts. Length 2.6cms. Weight 4.6gms.

<li>Overall condition fair to good. Some surface scratches/ wear, discolouration and minor dents in keeping with general age and wear.

<li>Probable replacement detachable brooch fittings.

<li>The cultured pearls are replacements. Glue visible to the mounts and pearls. Typical surface blemishes. Very approximate length of cultured pearls 0.5cm.

<li>Diamonds mostly appear bright and well matched.

<li>Individual size and setting of diamonds prevents accurate colour and clarity assessment.<p>


<li>Inclusions vary significantly, central diamond appears slightly cloudy.
