A late Victorian gold foil-back gem and split pearl shield brooch, with tassel swag and glazed locket reverse.

<li>Overall condition good.
<li>Gems are foil back, with a green backing which shows some colour deterioration. Gems appear near colourless, some with natural linear inclusions.
<li>Split pearls fairly well matched, some with uneven surface, soft lustre.
<li>Tassel terminals with small dents.
