An early 19th century framed portrait miniature, by John Smart (1741-1811).
Dimensions of frame 26.5 by 21.3 by 3.4cms.
Dimensions of portrait 10.7 by 8.8cms.
A miniature by John Smart, signed and dated 1807, of Frances, Mrs Chambers, wife of Robert Chambers, Chief Justice of Bengal. The reverse later inscribed by Arthur Jaffe with sitter's biography.
