<li>Overall condition good. General light marks and wear. Some soft solder to the side of one of the bottom wings. Possible minor repairs.

<li>Brooch fitting detachable. With hinged suspension loops to either wing. May be worn fitted to a chain and worn as a necklace.

<li>Set predominantly with rose-cut diamonds. Old-cut diamonds to the head and tips of the upper wings.

<li>Diamonds appear bright.<p>

<li>Amethysts are a fairly deep, lightly violet purple hue, well saturated, with good clarity and some typical inclusions.

<li>Amethysts in good condition, with few minor nibbles and abrasions.

<li>Calculated weight of one larger amethyst 8.07cts, based on estimated dimensions of 18.5 by 11 by 7.1mms.

<li>Enamel appears in good condition. Few minor abrasions. One panel to the tip of the upper most left wing appears to have a fine fracture running though.

<li>Rubies appear in good condition, with minor abrasions.

<li>Width 4.8cms.
